Laser Hair Removal carefully targets melanin (color) of the hair inside the follicle. Unwanted facial and body hair is eliminated with the fastest, safest and most effective hair reduction technology on the market. You will experience the difference with the Excel HR which features two proven wavelengths – the 755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG – and superior contact cooling to comfortably remove unwanted hair on all skin types. The combination of these two wavelengths offer the most advanced hair removal available on the market today.
How Does it Work?
Laser Hair Removal works by sending targeted laser energy to hair follicles and disabling them. The laser energy is attracted to the pigment of the hair, and, after a series of treatments, the hair follicle is permanently damaged and the hair is permanently reduced.
What can I expect during the treatment?
During the treatment, the laser is pulsed for only a fraction of a second. The duration of each pulse is just long enough to damage the hair follicle. The hair treated with laser hair removal will typically fall out between 14-21 days after treatment. Laser hair removal can be used almost anywhere on the body except for around the eyes.
What are the results?
Clients have noticed an average 80-90% reduction in hair growth. Results with laser hair removal are long lasting and permanent. Occasionally, conditions such as pregnancy, menopause or certain medications and hormonal conditions can trigger new hair growth, however, the new growth will be much lighter in color and finer. More than one treatment is recommended for optimal results. Body hair is treated at 6 week intervals and facial hair is treated at 4 week intervals.
Is it Safe?
Yes! Side effects may include slight redness and pigmentation changes to the skin, though the latter is very rare. Those who are pregnant, or think they may be pregnant, and those who are taking acne medication should consult with their doctor before undergoing laser hair reduction.
